Kevin Swift, Regional Waste Coordinator – Connacht Ulster Waste Region
Kevin Swift is a Civil Engineer and has worked in the private sector and local government for over twenty five years. Following a five year period in consultancy he worked for Donegal County Council and Galway City Council principally in water services capital works and environmental services. He oversaw the implementation and operation of the three way segregated waste collection system in Galway City together with the operation of the central composting facility. He was appointed Regional Waste Coordinator for the Connacht Ulster Region in late 2013 and has overseen the development and publication of the Connacht Ulster Regional Waste Management Plan 2015 – 2021. He is responsible for the implementation of the Connacht Ulster Regional Waste Plan and participates in a number of national groups to this end. Kevin Swift is based at the offices of Mayo County Council, Castlebar, the lead authority for the Connacht Ulster Region.
