Sharon Finegan was appointed in April 2021 as Director of the Office of Environmental Sustainability in the EPA. Prior to joining the EPA she was Head of the Climate Action Unit in the Department of the Taoiseach. Prior to this she was Secretary to the Citizens’ Assembly from 2016-2018. She has spent the majority of her career working in the Department of the Taoiseach where she has held a number of roles including Head of Protocol and Head of Economic Policy.
