Tom joined Repak Ltd in 2019 and has a wealth of experience in production and quality related industries, including Production Manager with British Polythene, where he managed the manufacturing output of industrial blown films including products like pallet wrap and fertiliser sacks. Tom holds a primary degree in Chemistry from University College Dublin, and a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Monitoring and a Masters in Environmental Management, both from the University of Limerick. In 2000, Tom joined the Sterile Technologies Group (STG), who specialise in Hazardous Waste Management solutions, as General Manager of their start up facility in Dublin. Within three years, Tom was seconded to the UK, to lead the integration of two UK businesses with the existing Irish business. Tom progressed within STG, and following its acquisition by Stericycle Inc., he was appointed Operations Director (GB) in 2016, with a combined business expenditure of £160 million annually. At Repak, Tom has overall responsibility for leading the Recovery and Recycling Team and working closely with recovery operators on best practice.
