Ciaran Hope joined Re-turn as Chief Operations Officer in May 2025, bringing over 25 years of executive experience in operations, strategy, and innovation across multiple sectors.
Since joining Re-turn, Ciaran has focused on enhancing customer experience for consumers, members, and communities throughout Ireland, while driving operational efficiency within the Deposit Return Scheme to help Ireland meet European recycling targets.
Previously, as COO in Seren (EY Ireland’s Global Innovation & Experience Design consultancy), he led large transformation programmes, spearheaded experience-led supply chain redesign, and provided thought leadership on sustainability and building meaningful customer experiences.
As SVP of operations at Web Summit, he defined core business ideology and managed workforces of several thousand at international mega events and was instrumental in developing an ESG reporting strategy, which won UFI’s (Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) Sustainable Development Award.
Earlier in his career, Ciarán built two Los Angeles post-production businesses, serving the needs of film & tv studios and major brands, leading international teams and delivering award-winning projects with operational excellence.
He has also served as a guest speaker for companies like PMI, Google, and Virgin Media, sharing his expertise on sustainability, customer experience, and teamwork.
